Meticulously crafted and designed to the exact specifications of smallmouth wizards, Chris and Cory Johnston, SPRO brings the CJ Smasher Worm. The Johnston brothers have become household names for smallmouth enthusiasts and tournament anglers as they rose to the top of the bass tournament food chain with dominant performances at the highest levels of competition. While they continue to show their prowess on the Bassmaster Elite Series, Chris and Cory Johnston cut their teeth competing on the smallmouth-laden waters of the St. Lawrence River and Canada’s Ontario province. Through years of finessing big, clear water smallmouth, the Johnstons have learned the intricacies of what makes the perfect smallmouth bait. After teaming up with the lure developers at SPRO, the CJ Smasher Worm was born. With a Dura Tuff material body, this finesse bait can be stretched, nipped, and smashed while still maintaining the same profile. A chubby, ribbed body leads to a narrow, flat tail, making the CJ Smasher dance, sway, and kick eloquently to entice even the wariest of smallmouth into biting. The plastic material of the CJ Smasher is Amino Bite infused, giving it the ultimate flavor profile that makes fish hold on longer than traditional salted or non-scented plastics. Ideal for the drop shot rig, the CJ Smasher is also a solid option for Ned rigs, shakey heads, and even compact texas rigging when the bite gets tough. Engineered by SPRO in collaboration with two of the best smallmouth anglers in the world, Chris and Cory Johnston, the SPRO CJ Smasher Worm is one you’ll want to be rigged and ready on your next smallmouth expedition!
