Covering water is one of the most important aspects of topwater frog fishing, and the folks at Scum Frog have given us a bait that is meant for ultra-long castability; introducing the Launch Frog. Crafted from 100s of hours of on-the-water development and product testing, the Launch Frog is a performance topwater frog with a unique tungsten “parasite” weight system, which adds weight without increasing the bulk of the hook shank. Aside from providing maximum casting distance, the Launch Frog is backed by a premium red 5/0 Owner Frog Hook and a highly compressible body to deliver the highest hook-up ratios possible in a hollow body frog. The Launch Frog also takes advantage of the famous Scum Frog brass button rear-weight system to maintain a nose-up/hook-down profile when sitting still to ensure optimal hookups, which is a highly sought-after feature of any hollow body frog. This is the bait that sealed Bassmaster Champion Lee Livesay’s first major Elite Series win on Lake Chickamauga and is ready to become your go-to topwater frog when it’s time to make those mile-long casts to cover water!
